The Mayor of the Qassim Region, Engineer Mohammed bin Mubarak Al-Majali, signed a contract for the operation and maintenance of stormwater drainage networks and stations in the city of Buraidah, at a cost exceeding 22 million riyals. The contract aims to enhance the readiness of the drainage system and improve the efficiency of the infrastructure during the rainy season. 

It includes the implementation of general operation and maintenance works to ensure the continuity of the networks and stations, raise the level of technical readiness of the facilities, and monitor performance to enhance drainage efficiency and improve the urban landscape, in line with the Secretariat's plans to develop its services. This contract comes as part of the Secretariat's efforts to raise the level of municipal services, enhance the city's ability to deal with climate changes, and provide a safe urban environment for residents.​
