Shari Municipality, affiliated with the Qassim Region Municipality, continues its efforts within the Qassim Green Initiative by implementing planting and maintenance works on green spaces and parks with the aim of raising the level of beautification and improving the urban landscape in Shari Center.
Eng. Abdul Majeed Al-Harbi, Mayor of Shari Municipality, explained that the municipality has developed a work program for development and improvement that includes increasing green spaces and providing a high level of maintenance for agricultural works in all centers covered by municipal services. He indicated that the municipality has planted 72,000 square meters of green spaces in addition to maintaining public parks and road facilities, removing weeds, and implementing general maintenance works that included various games and installing seating chairs on tracks.
Al-Harbi added that the municipality has planted 1,090 new trees, in addition to planting 9,000 annual and seasonal roses to beautify streets and squares, stressing that these efforts aim to enhance the quality of life, increase the per capita share of green spaces, and provide attractive sites for residents and visitors.
